Dyani (Jensen) Waldrop was born on May 19, 1980 in Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1988 her family moved to Nisland, SD and started ranching / farming. She completed high school at Newell and moved to Rapid City to start attending college at SDSM&T while working part-time at the B. Dalton bookstore. Taking a leave from school, Dyani then became the full-time Assistant Manager for B. Dalton for one year. She returned to school to study Industrial Engineering and after marrying Jim, opted to stay home with their two children. She became involved with various organizations such as Love, Inc. and International Students, Inc. while helping with the 3 to 5 year olds at Destiny Foursquare Church. She is now serving as the Children's Pastor at Destiny.

James Waldrop was born on August 12, 1975 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He has lived in various parts of the country including Sioux Falls, Texas, Indiana and Rapid City. Jim completed high school in Rapid City and then served four years in the Army. Upon leaving the Army, he moved to Rapid City to attend SDSM&T while working part-time at Menards.  He graduated in May of 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering.  James is working as a Drill Instructor at the Brady Academy in Custer, SD.  Although the position is not directly related to Industrial Engineering, he believes this is where he is supposed to be.
